We are looking for an experienced Chocolatier who shares our passion for chocolate and is skilled in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Summary
As a Chocolatier at Sisko Chocolate, you will be responsible for the production and creation of a range of chocolates while ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and safety. You will oversee chocolate production, experiment with new flavours, and help maintain compliance with food safety standards, including the implementation and monitoring of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft a wide variety of artisan chocolate products, including moulded, dipped, and enrobed chocolates
- Develop and experiment with new flavours, inclusions, and product designs
- Ensure all chocolate production adheres to HACCP principles and food safety guidelines
- Maintain and monitor documentation related to HACCP protocols, including hazard analysis, critical control points, and corrective actions
- Oversee cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and production areas to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist in the packaging and presentation of products, maintaining a high level of visual appeal
- Collaborate with the retail team to ensure seamless delivery of products to customers
- Engage in chocolate-making workshops and tastings for customers as part of the store’s experience (optional)
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chocolatier or in a related culinary role
- Strong understanding of chocolate tempering techniques and working with different types of couverture (milk, dark, and white chocolate)
- Knowledge and experience in implementing HACCP and other food safety protocols
- Creativity and passion for flavour development and visual presentation
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Experience in a retail or hospitality setting is a plus
